Valentine's Shop and Hop Opens!
There are certain events in Second Life that, despite the feeling that you're taking your virtual life in your hands to brave the crowds, it's soooo worth it! The Linden sponsored Shop and Hop events are just that. The latest (Valentine's) Shop and Hop opened yesterday--and I ventured forth, into the fray! It retains the same four main sims from the previous events, plus waiting/cam shopping sims.
While I was a bit disappointed not to see a couple of my faves--Spoiled or Utopia--represented (at least I didn't spot them), I still came away with a bulging inventory. (We're currently not on speaking terms, in fact.)
For those avis with limited Linden-funds, the Shop and Hop is still worth the visit. Several shops have 50% discounts and almost all have free gifts available. As typical with many crowded events, to get around, you may find that using your "show friends only" helps (it's under the World tab)--however, make sure you zoom in to your minimap and pay attention to the dots as you move around. No need in creating bad vibes from pushing people you can't see! Shopping's best when it's fun!
